Some weeks ago, Peter Jones on behalf of Newport RFC, led the 2022 ‘Remembrance Lecture’ at Newport Cathedral, St Wollos.
The talk centred around the life of Newport RFC’s very own Charles Pritchard, who played for and captained the club, was a Welsh international, beat New Zealand and ultimately laid down his life in WW1. ‘Charlie’ also had a quite remarkable collection of rugby jerseys, some of which were on display at the cathedral.
