Newport go into this game knowing that this is a step towards another big game at The National stadium. Having tasted cup success last season everyone at the club would dearly love to experience the cup final atmosphere again. Llanelli started the season well with a high-scoring win over Swansea but the only victory since then was a fine away win against Pontypridd. Their games tend to be high scoring as they love to move the ball wide and attack from anywhere on the pitch.
The Black & Ambers make several changes owing to injury and unavailability. Geraint O’Driscoll starts at outside half and he is no stranger to the position. Promising youngster Harri Ackerman starts at inside centre and Ioan Davies slots in at fullback after recovering from injury.
