Goodbye and thanks!

In addition to the previous announcements, the following players have all left Newport RFC to further their careers elsewhere either on or off the pitch.

Nathan Evans played 47 times for Newport RFC, propping on both sides of the scrum, and will join Bridgend in the hope of obtaining a regional contract. A jovial player off the pitch, he was hard as nails on it.

Oli Andrew takes a break from the game after an incredible 28 tries in 37 games on the wing for Newport. We hope to see him back on the field in the future.

After two seasons and 31 games hooker Tyler Olding moves to Bridgend, renewing connections with his rugby family in that area.

Towering second row Max Williams retires to concentrate on his career after 12 appearances in black and amber.

Quick, strong winger Liam Lloyd made 8 appearances for the black and ambers and was always a very strong runner and keen player.

Prop Archie Callaghan leaves the club after 5, all winning appearances. The Science student has hopes of a career in space technology.

Iwan Johnes only had 4 appearances in the centre for Newport but they were all wins. The strength of the Newport squad denied further appearance opportunities but the ever positive Iwan was a big part of the squad and very popular. He will be a great addition to the squad wherever he goes next.

Good luck to all of the guys, thanks for your efforts, and remember you will also receive a warm welcome at Newport Stadium.
