After a stunning victory over Llandovery, the Black & Ambers travel the short distance to Pontypool to face a team that is having a mixed season. They are seventh in the league table with two wins and four losses. Of course, form means nothing when Poola plays Newport and we can expect a tough battle as always.
The Newport coaching team will have some difficult decisions regarding team selection following the outstanding performance last Saturday of the starting fifteen and the replacements. But with injuries and unavailability to be considered some decisions might be made for them.
Team will not be named until after fitness checks.
