Newport vs. Cardiff

After a below par performance at Parc Y Scarlets the Black & Ambers will need to be at the top of their game on Saturday when they face a Cardiff outfit who are yet to lose a game this season.   The Blue and Blacks are in a good place with some fine wins and even when they are not playing well they still know how to win. They sit at the top of the league table, 12 points clear of second placed Pontypridd.

Someone once said “Never judge Newport’s next performance by their last!”. Let’s hope that’s true as we need a big turnaround for this game.

The coaching team is hoping to have players back from unavailability and injury for this game and they could have some difficult decisions to make in certain positions.

Dan Preece comes in at loose-head prop alongside Matt Dwyer who made an impacxt when he came on against Bridgend. Skipper, Rhys Jenkins, and Josh Skinner return in the back row. Fit again, Adam Jones gets the twelve jersey with Connor Edwards as his centre partner.
