Newport open their Indigo Premiership league season with a fire-cracker of a fixture at home to Pontypool. ‘Poola’ have just been promoted from The Championship and will definitely be looking to turn over one of their oldest rivals on their own patch.
The game will be played on Sunday 3rd September, kicking off at 1715.
The game will be sure to be popular and we are expecting a bumper crowd, so we are grateful to our friends at The Dragons, Rodney Parade for hosting this game, allowing a much bigger capacity than at Newport Stadium. We will be opening up the Bisley Stand as usual plus the ‘Compeed’ Stand and Terrace.
