On Sunday Newport face Ebbw Vale in the semi-final of the SRC Cup competition. With Newport Stadium unavailable due to operational reasons the game will be played at Rodney Parade and we are very grateful to the RP management for agreeing to host the match.
The Steelmen have been going very well this season and are a very difficult side to beat with a strong pack and skilful backs. They top the league and are 20 points ahead of second placed Llandovery although the Black & Ambers can take some comfort in the fact that they are one of only two teams to beat them this season.
The coaches have delayed naming the team as there are several players needing fitness checks. Team will be posted here following fitness checks.
