NEWPORT v BRIDGEND PREVIEW

Another big game for the Black & Ambers as they aim to finish as high in the league as possible before the play-offs.  Bridgend are in the bottom half of the table but in their last two games they’ve beaten Pontypool and had a narrow loss to Llandovery.  They like to play a quick expansive game, and they will be a stern test.

There is an added incentive for Bridgend as a victory on Saturday would see them take The Challenger Shield.

Newport make three changes to the starting fifteen with James Benjamin coming in at hooker, Josh Reid at 6 and Chay Foster-Smith on the wing after a try-scoring return against Ebbw Vale.  Tom Workman keeps the number one jersey after a great shift last Saturday.
