After playing the league leaders last week, the Black & Ambers travel to the Knoll to face the team at the other end of the table. Neath are quietly improving and almost grabbed a win a few weeks ago in the home fixture, when a battling second half comeback saw Newport struggling to hang on to their lead. There will be no room for complacency on Saturday.
The Welsh All-Blacks are having a difficult time off the pitch with their application to become part of the Elite Domestic Competition failing to meet the WRU’s requirements and they now await the result of their second application. There are some good people at Neath RFC and whatever the future holds for the club, everyone at Newport RFC wishes them well.
Ty |Morris’s men need to keep winning to hold on to the league top spot and keep the pressure on Llandovery so will be pushing for the victory. Once again, the coaching team rotates the squad.
