Newport travel to Church Bank to face a Drovers outfit still hurting after losing to Pontypool last Saturday by two points. In a high scoring game where the lead changed sides several times, Llandovery thought that they had done enough to get the win but a late penalty sealed the victory for Pontypool. They will be a difficult side to beat on their own patch.
The Black & Ambers were determined to start the season with a win and this was achieved although RGC proved tough opponents. A big plus was seeing three academy players in the starting line-up, Brogan Leary, Sam Morgan and Will Ford, with all three putting in good performances.
