The club was saddened to hear of the passing of John Marenghi as notified by his son Vincent on May 29th.
John had a long and happy life and was in his ninetieth year. He was a regular attendee at meetings of the Newport RFC Former Players Association.
The funeral will be held at St David’s RC Church on Cardiff Road on the 10th of July at 11:15, followed by Langstone Crematorium. Any players past or present would be most welcome to attend.
The wake will be held in the Bisley Suite at Rodney Parade from 14:00.
