CARMARTHEN v NEWPORT

The Black & Ambers will be hoping to continue the good form they showed at Aberavon when they travel to face a Carmarthen side who has not had a good start to the season. Although they showed some really good form last Saturday, Ty Morris’s men can’t afford to be complacent against a team who will be keen to improve their league position.  Newport are in fourth place, four points behind leaders Ebbw Vale, and with a game in hand over the teams above them.

The coaches make just three changes to the starting fifteen with Tom Workman and Chay Foster-Smith replacing the injured Thomas Davies and Elliot Frewen – as they did early in the game last week – and Carwyn Penny replacing the unavailable Matt O’Brien at outside half.

Newport:  Tom Workman, Henry Palmer, Nathan Evans, Elliot Ferriman, Barny Langton-Cryer, Josh Skinner, Kyle Tayler, Ben Roach Capt., Che Hope, Carwyn Penny, Oli Andrew, Joe Westwood, Chay Foster-Smith, Jon Morris, Ioan Davies.

Replacements: Tyler Olding, Harry Fry, Garin Harris, Nick Thomas, Rhys Jenkins, Dafydd Buckland, Jac Lloyd, Lloyd Lewis.

Referee: Elliot Mayer
