After losing their first four league games, albeit by very small margins, few would have given Newport a chance of making the league play-offs. Yet, we now have a real opportunity to achieve the league title. Last Saturday’s win over a strong Llandovery outfit, scoring more points against them than any other team this season, means we go into Sunday’s semi-final knowing that we can compete with and beat any team in the Premier Division. The black & Ambers were disappointed to lose to Cardiff in a very close Cup Final and will be well aware of the task that they face.
