Travelling along the M4 to Carmarthen at a busy time is the first test for Newport as they aim to bring back some league points. The Quins have not had a great start to the season but last Saturday they achieved a very good away win at Aberavon and now sit at eighth place in the SRC league. The Black & Ambers are in third place but with the two teams above them playing each other then this game gives them the opportunity to move up the table.
