"Fozzie" was born in Derby but went to school in Fairwater, Cwmbran. Joined Newport RFC in 1999/00 from Bedford. He had also played for Bridgend, Swansea, Cross Keys, Newport Saracens. Made his NRFC debut as acting capt vs Cardiff on Sept 4th 1999 at RP 18-13(W). Played 100th game at Bedwas in Cup (W27-10) on Feb 8th 2003.

Appearances : 1999/00 : 31 (14t), 2000/1 : 26 (7t), 2001/2 : 27 (11t), 2002/3 : 25 (13t). Total in 4 seasons of 108 apps (out of 133) and 45t. Scored 26t in Welsh League - 3rd behind Craig Richards and Matt Mostyn - both with 30. Made 6 Euro Shield, 15 Euro Cup and 10 Celtic League apps.

Wales A, Wales 7 capt – many times incl 2003 Commonweath Games at Manchester. Wales cap in Argentina June 2004 while playing for NGD. Barbarian while with NGD. Capt Newport Gwent Dragons 2005/6. All time leading try scorer in Celtic League by end 2005/6. Left the Dragons to join English 1st Division side Doncaster in 2006/7. Joined Neath RFC as player-coach 2007/8 but left after 3 apps (2 as rep) in Nov 2007.In 2007/8 joined Rotherham as player-coach, Newport Saracens as player and Henley as coach in Feb 2008.
