Newport return to Rodney Parade after a superb performance against RGC 1404 at Parc Eirias. All the defensive errors against Aberavon in the last home game were eliminated and apart from one slip-up the North Walians attack was contained. With several first team regulars unavailable or injured last week the coaching team has some difficult decisions after such a fine display.
Bridgend will arrive on the back of a very good win against Llandovery. The Ravens’ team included three players who have spent some time with the Black & Ambers; James Little, Jamie Murphy and Nathan Edwards. With only four points separating the teams this is going to be a close game.
Newport make just two changes to the starting fifteen with Rynard Landman and Josh Skinner coming in at 4 and 6 to replace Rhys Cresswell and Morgan Burgess. The backs are unchanged with Ryan James and Geraint O’Driscoll coming on to the bench. The Black & Ambers forward strength is shown by the quality of the replacements
