Match Preview

NEWPORT vs. LLANELLI

Newport games at Rodney Parade are like buses – you wait ages for one then three come along together!  Llanelli sit third in the table and will be going all out for a win to secure a place in the play-offs and even a home tie if other results go their way.  The Black & Ambers are sure of their place but need a top two finish to secure a home game.

While last Saturday was a hard slog to get the victory tomorrow could be very different as Llanelli like to play the fast, wide game and are very dangerous on the counter attack.  This approach could suit the home team and they showed in patches against Bargoed what they are capable of.

The squad is stretched for Saturday with several players missing through unavailability or injury but Newport can still field a very useful looking team.

Newport: Nicky Boyce, Henry Palmer, Garin Harris, Dan Partridge, Dan Mock, Rhys Jenkins, Kyle Tayler, Lennon Greggains, Ryan James, Matt O’Brien, Elliot Frewen, Tom Pascoe, Tom Riley, Wes Cunliffe, Geraint O’ Driscoll.

Replacements:  Will Evans, Matt Prosser, Fraser Young, A N Other, Evan Whitson, Ryan Bates, Llywarch Ap Myrddin, Tom Hoppe.

Kick Off: 2:30 PM
